Everglades airboat ride

It was so loud you had to protect your ears. The airboats go up to 40 miles an hour. In the Everglades, motorboats can only idle since their blades have been shown to cut the large manatees that swim in the waters.

Misha was not expecting a pelican to land on our boat!!

Our driver fed the alligators marshmallows. Notice how the water is tan? That's because in this area the Red Mangrove trees that surround the canals secrete tannic acid into the water which gives it its characteristic color.

We were going about 40 mph around a corner with the boat tilted onto its right side!! We had a great time!

We saw a lot of animals along the shoreline.

Back in Naples we ate at Chili's. Notice that there are palm trees at this Chili's? There sure aren't palm trees at the Chili's in our town!

Later we went to Sanibel Island. That's me with my two wonderful children.
"Children born to a young man are like sharp arrows in a warrior's hands. How happy is the man whose quiver is full of them!" Psalm 127:4-5 NLT
