The other ugly side of abortion
Young Women are dying, too
Abortion is not the "safe" procedure it is touted as being. Complications
are common, and under-reported. Many women have died from uterine perforations,
lacerations, blood loss, infections, blood clots, and other complications.
Read the stories of 347
women who died because of an abortion procedure.
| Rates of death of women who have an abortion: One out of every 6,000 women who have an abortion after 21 weeks gestation die. One out of every 166,000 abortions ends in death. Just under one out of every 100 abortions has a serious complication [Source: AGI, 1998. Note: These figures may be low due to under-reporting of deaths due to abortions.] |
"A single death is a tragedy,
a million deaths is a statistic."— Joseph Stalin
Are these figures just a statistic to you, or is
it a tragedy thousands of times over?

RU486 is a pill given to women early in their pregnancy to end the pregnancy. Is RU486 safe? Several women have died from complications, including hemorrhaging, infections, heart/lung problems, allergic reactions, and emotional/psychological reactions. Read the facts about RU486 here.
Holly Patterson, 18, died September 17, 2003 in Pleasanton,
CA
Patterson died at a local hospital one week after receiving the chemical
abortion drug, mifepristone (also known as RU-486), from a Planned Parenthood
affiliate. She was seven weeks pregnant. Patterson's father says a doctor
at the hospital told him that she died from "septic shock and a massive
systemic infection as a result of not expelling all of her fetus."
The
U.S. Food and Drug Administration is investigating her death.
Behind the Holly Patterson Story
Who makes RU 486?
Roussel Uclaf, the French pharmaceutical subsidiary of Hoechst AG is the manufacturer
of RU 486. During WWII, Nazi Germany used gas chambers to kill millions of
Jews. The gas that was used was called Zyklon-B. Zyklon-B was made by IG Farben.
After the war, IG Farben changed its name to Hoechst AG. So the same
company that brought you the gas chambers of the WWII holocaust now brings
you the
"abortion pill" of the American holocaust!!

Pedophiles escape detection
In many states, abortions and contraceptive care are provided to underage
girls without the need to inform the parents. In these states it is common
for an abortion clinic to not report the underage sexual activity with
an adult man. In the states where parents need to be notified, many abortion
clinics allow any man to claim he is the girl's father without checking
ID. By not reporting this statutory rape to the authorities, abortion clinics
are aiding the adult man in his illegal activity. This "other ugly side" of
abortion allows young girls to be taken advantage of, and raped, with the
help of the local abortion clinic. Click

you some useful tips.

This is a baby at 16 weeks gestation.
The head, nose, lips, and chin are seen as the baby is on his back.
The heart can be seen in the chest. It beats at 120-180 bpm.
In this country, it is currently legal to dismember, suck, and discard this baby.
What are we going to do about it?
Questions to ponder:
1) If it is wrong for me to advocate my girlfriend to abort a baby, why would it be OK for someone else to do it?
2) If abortion is actually the killing of a human being, then why is it OK to abort a 28 week baby, but not OK to kill a baby born prematurely at 28 weeks?
3) If a fetus is a human being, then why isn't it legally protected like all other human beings?
4) If the issue is a woman's choice, then shouldn't she also have the choice to "terminate" her newborn baby if she wants to? What is the real difference between a 40 week newborn and a 38 week late-term "fetus"?--this issue is discussed by a prominent British medical ethicist [John Harris] who concluded [1/24/04] that it is therefore justifiable to kill a newborn infant, even for cosmetic reasons. Click here for the story
5) Isn't abortion just another way that society can get rid of its unwanted? If we allow abortion, then we should allow euthanasia [killing of the elderly and terminally ill], doctor-assisted suicide, and infanticide. If we allow abortion, then why is suicide illegal? Isn't it all just a matter of "choice"?
