ENN News exists for the glory of God. We will seek to use this news service to bring glory to Jesus by educating those within and outside the church in issues that have a special impact upon Christian faith and practice. This will be done through four news categories:
1) National News:
The Bible says in I Timothy 2:1-4; "I urge, then, first of all, that requests,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and
all in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness
and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men
to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
In order to be able to pray and give thanks for our leaders, we must first be
aware of what is currently happening in our nation.
2) Church News / Religion: I
Timothy 3:15 says that the church is to be
"the
pillar and foundation of the truth." We also read in I
Corinthians 11:18-19; "there are divisions
among you, and to some extent I believe it. No doubt there have to
be differences among you to show which of you have God's approval."
The true church has several different practices and beliefs when it comes
to peripheral matters. The false church not only differs in peripheral
matters, but also in central matters. These differences must happen so
that it can be clear which has God's approval. The Bible is our ultimate
indicator of what God's truth is. ENN News seeks to use Church/Religious
news to educate those inside and outside of the church in regards to the
issues which affect these central matters. Occasionally, a human interest
or other interesting link will also be included. Many
people who go to church are not true believers. In fact, many ministers
are not born-again themselves. [Jesus said in John 3:3 that you
MUST be born again to enter the kingdom of God.--see also I Peter 1:22-25] The
ultimate purpose of this section is
to cause the reader to question what truth is, and what beliefs and behaviors
are
consistent
with
true
faith
in Jesus
Christ.
3) Education / human interest: It is essential that we train our children according to the truths that God has given us. Founding Father Benjamin Rush, who was known as "The Father of public schools" said, “By withholding the knowledge of [the Scriptures] from children, we deprive ourselves of the best means of awakening moral sensibility in their minds.” The Bible even tells us how to educate our children! This section of ENN News will seek to show the current status of American schools and cause the reader to question the purpose and role of schools in American and Christian life.
4) World News: The Bible commands us in Psalm 122:6 to "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" In Zechariah 14:4 we read that when Jesus returns, "His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two..." The Bible makes it clear that God is doing a special work in Israel and many future events that affect our planet will be happening in Israel. For that reason, ENN World News will seek to highlight News items from primarily the Middle East. It is also our hope that the reader will learn the truth about the struggle between the Muslims and the Jews in Israel, and how that impacts our lives.
