FERMI'S PARADOX
1950

1) If technological civilizations were common and moderately long-lived
2) Then the galaxy should be fully colonized -- assuming only standard physics.
3) Contact should be completely inevitable.

Since we cannot readily detect evidence of technological civilizations, there is a paradox here.

Enrico Fermi stated that contact with extraterrestrial intelligent life should be inevitable. Since we have not experienced obvious and direct contact, we have a paradox here. Many theories have been brought forth to explain this paradox, which is also known as "The Great Silence"

Possiblities Regarding Intelligent Extraterrestrial Life and Us--why no obvious contact??:

1) We have indeed had contact with intelligent alien life here on earth

a) This contact was in the past: Reasons for no obvious current contact either initiated by them, or us

1) They have "moved on" either out of disinterest, or desire to contact other societies

b) This contact is currently happening

1) Intentional minimal contact is done for various reasons, including protection of us, or them.

2) We have NOT had contact with intelligent alien life

a) There is no other life in the universe besides us: God created us as His special workmanship. The purpose, then, of the rest of the universe is to declare His glory [Psalm 19:1] and not to house other image-bearers.

b) There is other life in the universe, but not intelligent life; we are the only "sentient" life forms. Other life forms have not reached [through evolution] our advanced state.

c) There is other intelligent life in the universe

1) We are the most technologically advanced people in the universe
2) We are as technologically advanced as other races, but none of us can contact the others due to our limitations and distance
3) There are [or have been] many societies that are far more advanced than us

a) contact has not been made because these societies are short-lived. They may pass away due to star supernovae, self-destruction through war, etc.
b) All technologically super-advanced societies lose interest in space exploration and colonization. This is known as SINGULARITY in scientific circles. Singularity is the universal loss of explorative interest in technologically advanced societies. This solution to Fermi's paradox is often called the "Transcendental Solution" or the "Deification Solution". The idea is that in the evolutionary process, a race reaches a point of rapid evolution at an irresistible dynamic. The members of that race then evolve into spirit beings or advanced "silicon-nanonic" beings. These beings then have no need for a natural, material connection, and thus no need or desire to contact or explore material space.
c) It is also possible that "singularity" doesn't end with deification [becoming gods], but with destruction, instead. And this would explain the lack of communication with these races

4) Interstellar communication or travel may not be either feasible, economical, necessary, or desirable to a more advanced society. This would explain our lack of contact with these societies.

I believe that we have NOT had contact with outside intelligent alien live forms. I believe that God has sent his angels from time to time to us. But the notion that we have already had contact with aliens is not corroborated and is not true.
All supposed "paranormal/UFO/alien" contact can be put into one of three categories:

1) Hoax. Time has proven that many "sightings" or "contact" to be falsified evidence or tricks. Take for instance, crop circles and the silver flying discs of the 1950's

2) Natural or man-made phenomena. Take for instance Area 51 nighttime flying orb lights. These most likely represent particle-beam research that was popular in the 1980's and was thought to be useful as a RADAR jammer or heat-seeking missle decoy. Particle beams consist of protons that when accelerated they go a certain distance before "dumping" their energy into a localized area, creating a "plasma" ball or orb of light. These beams would move rapidly up and down and sideways depending upon the movements of the operator of the accelerator.

3) Angelic/Demonic phenomena. I do not believe this to be a common explanation of paranormal events, but it is a possibility. This type of sighting is recorded in Ezekiel chapters 1 and 10:20. See also 2 Corinthians 11:14

Therefore, if there has been NO contact with other intelligent alien life forms...then why not?? Since we cannot prove that there is, AND decades of searching has yielded no hope--only "dissappointments" [Recent examples being Venus and Mars], at what point do we consider the possibility that the Bible has answers for us???
