Do you go to church?

Many of you reading this will say "yes" to this question. But does church attendance and "being good" save us? Is that how God determines who will be in heaven? The Eads Family wants you to seriously examine your relationship with the Lord Jesus. Many people who EXPECT to be with Him in heaven won't...
Read what Jesus Himself said:

Matthew 7:21-23: "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'

Here we see people that knew Jesus, called Him Lord, and EXPECTED to be with Him in heaven. But Jesus said He never knew them. He is referring here to a personal, daily relationship, one that transforms your life from what it used to be, to what it is now. Has this happened to you?

Many people go to church. They listen to the pastor or minister speak. They regularly help out and are involved. They know the Bible, and spend time with church go-ers. Is this you?
Read what Jesus said:

Luke 13: 25-27; "Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' " But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'
"Then you will say, 'We ate and drank with you, and you taught in our streets.'
"But he will reply, 'I don't know you or where you come from. Away from me, all you evildoers!'

So if knowing Jesus, calling Him "Lord", expecting to go to heaven, going to church, being good, paying attention to the pastor, and being active in the church won't save you, WHAT WILL???

Answer:
Faith ALONE. So long as you think you do anything at all to merit your salvation, you have disqualified yourself. God is offering a free gift which is not up for sale. "For the wages of sin is death" [Romans 6:23]. You deserve hell because of your sin. "But the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." [Romans 6:23] God's salvation is a free gift.

The Bible says you must be "born again"
" I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.[John 3:3]

Dear Friend:
Trust in Jesus alone. Don't trust in your church attendance or any other "good" thing you do. These can't save you. Only Jesus can save you. He wants to be #1 in your life. The first commandment is "Thou shalt have no other gods before me"
What "gods" do you put before Jesus?
1) Your religion. Would you even consider changing churches for Jesus?
2) Your job. Is that what consumes your mind?
3) Money. Jesus said that you cannot serve both God and money!
4) Your family. "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters–yes, even his own life–he cannot be my disciple. [Luke 14:26] --Jesus must be more important to you than your family is.
5) _____________You fill in the blank here.

Dear Jesus:
I now see that I truly am a sinner. My sin was bad enough that you had to die. Please forgive me of my sins. Please come into my heart and live in me. I believe in you and put all my trust and hope in you. I know that my good works are not enough, but you are more than enough. Thank you for saving me. Please change me and my life forever and help me to grow to know you more every day.
In Jesus' precious name
Amen
