Creation vs. Evolution

he Bible is clear that God created everything. He did not use an evolutionary process to do so. Hebrews 11:3 says that God made everything that we see out of nothing. Genesis 1 and 2 have long posed a problem for those who hold to an evolutionary belief. To believe in an evolutionary origin of mankind you must either deny Genesis or "spiritualize" it. This is called "distorting the Scripture" in 2 Peter 3:16 and this leads to "destruction" for those who believe in it.

I am a physician and a former staunch advocate of evolution. I now know that God is right and I believe Him when He says that He made everything in 6 days like the Bible says. I was not convinced of these truths through argument or logic, though. I realized the truth when I humbled myself before my Creator and submitted my life to Jesus. Light entered my soul and I knew then that I would be with Him forever. A wonderful by-product of this was for me to realize that what I had once believed was wrong.

You may have several objections to the idea of a literal 6-day Creation. I understand. I, too at one time would have thought that belief to be childish and uneducated. I can assure you that this is not an uneducated belief. As a Chemistry and Pre-Med major with a Biology minor I had to learn all about Evolutionary Theory. Medical school continues to rest its teaching upon this belief. I hope that you may come to realize that God is the Supreme Scientist. He was the ONLY one there when it all began and so He is best suited and uniquely qualified to tell us how it all happened. It is the arrogance of man to contradict God and give a different account of how it all happened when we weren't there to see it. If there is some fact that seems to contradict the Bible's account of how it all happened, please be patient. There are satisfying and wonderful answers to all your objections and questions.
